Hello everybody! I recently celebrated my 26th birthday. I am actually making a vlog to really show you how I made my birthday celebration zero waste, but I want to talk a little bit about today as well. Because I gave myself a birthday gift, the gift of a proper workspace.
Last Saturday, I bought a desk second hand. It’s been ages since I’ve had a place to sit right and really get to work, but I figured with me doing social media, booking writing and video editing full time, I need a place to do that. Before, I would sit in my bed, and honestly, I am properly still going to do that every now and then, but I am so pleased with this new piece. It also has some storage options, which are highly appreciated.

I had my family over for dinner the day after my birthday, and for that, I went to the farmers’ market to buy fresh produce. My farmers’ market is so great and the gifted me some of their homegrown tulips. I made my family a curry dish with rice, a spicy salad, and garlic bread. It was basically a gitte’s-favourite-things-meal.

My boyfriend also gave me a perfect zero waste gift. I found a second hand that I have really been wanting to read, he wrapped it in a newspaper (lo the same newspaper my column is published in) and tied it up with string. He also made his own card in which he wished me a happy birthday and said that we are going on a road trip together. Yas, experience gifts and second-hand gifts, that’s what I am all about.
Looks great! Did you find it online? If so what site? Thanks
I used a Danish second hand site where I bought it from another person 🙂
Happy birthday! 🎂🎁🎉👑 I hope you had a fantastic day! X
Thank you so much! 💚🌴
