Hello everyone! I like to keep you updated on what sustainable products I use in my daily life, hopefully, that will make it easier for you to pick greener products the next time you have to buy hair care products.
For so long I have had the simplest hair care routine ever. I prefer to not use a ton of products in general and I have stopped using straighteners and curling irons a couple of years ago as well. These are the products I use right now, as of June 2019.
Shampoo: Right now I am using Jason and the Argan Oil shampoo bar from Lush. I can spend up to 6-8 months to finish a shampoo bar so I rarely change them. However, I have tried a couple of different ones from Lush, and this is my favourite so far. I am also able to get it to package free as I bring my own stainless steel container whenever I shop there.
Conditioner: I have not used an actual conditioner in years and I don’t really think that I need one. I make do with my hair oils. If my hair is very dry I’ll lather it up in coconut oil an hour before I shower.

Aftercare: When I step out of the shower I use the botanic hair oil from Living Naturally. It is made with soapnuts, jojoba, Calendula, Sunflower, Sesame, and Rice Bran. It is one of the best oils I have ever tried and I intend to use this until it’s empty and then repurchase it. I use it on my hair tips as well as my scalp, preferably when my hair is still wet from the shower. I apply the oil and let it air dry.
